GREED: ALL FOR WHAT? – Chapter 32 Family Ties

Chapter 32 Family Ties

"Found them," the twenty-something-looking lady of the twin said.

"Let's go." her male counterpart issued.

The two sets of twins flanking them acceded. It was obvious that the elder siblings of the Gemini girls were the leaders of their small group.

All six of them disappeared and reappeared in front of the little Gemini twins almost instantly. They were hugged tightly as soon as they appeared.

"Big brother." "Big sister." they shouted and cried.

The elderly heroic spirits smiled while the armed guards behind them performed a salute to welcome them. After hugging their little sisters they walked forward and bowed to the two heroic spirits.

"We have come back successful," the female said

"It is in part thanks to your efforts" the male echoed, two twin sets behind them also bowed.

The elderly male heroic spirit laughed and gave both of them a pat on the head "Your effort and determination led you here" he said, while his female counterpart gave a nod to them. Her face was expressionless but they could see her pride for them in her eyes.

The two new origin gods didn't mind her behavior, it was her personality and it was more than good enough for them. The elderly man was homily and kind, he would smile, laugh and encourage them, but his counterpart was the opposite. She is known for her punishments and bitter bone-breaking physical training.

"Alright, alright" the two girls clamored for their attention.

"That's enough of that now."

"Let's go," they said one after the other.

Before their elder siblings could reply another group of people appeared suddenly. They had various looks and features, the elder siblings could feel familiar power coming from four of the six. They didn't feel threatened and only watched as they approached the young twins of the supreme beast race.

The supreme beast race twins exclaimed and jumped for joy when they saw this new group. They laughed and joked with them before the group finally approached the standing giant that had been looking at them without moving. Then they knelt on one knee to the giant.

"We are back, father."

The giant's eyes suddenly glowed and a suffocating pressure came out of his body. His lips cracked into a smile "Not bad, not bad at all" he laughed and continued "Very good in fact. Very good. I am glad. I thorika, have also produced children that are origin gods. No one can say I am just good at birthing them anymore."

"It is a pity that one of your brothers died." the giant sighed "But there will still be a celebration. Follow me." the giant enveloped the eight children with his power and disappeared with them.

"Let's go too," the Gemini twins said in eagerness.

Their elder siblings agreed "let us go home" and they departed. On their way home the elder siblings were thinking about the scene of the giant and his expression of fatherly love.

The supreme beast race origin god had sent a clone to await the arrival of his children. The clone isn't him but an expression of his will, whatever happened will eventually be known by their father through the clone. But the man hadn't done that, he had descended fully and taken control of the clone to express his sincerity. That was too much to ask from their father.

They gazed affectionately at their younger sisters. The two girls were still ignorant of the fact that their father gave birth to them as a backup plan in case none of the sovereigns sent by the family failed to become origin gods.

The two little girls are just 600 years old so they were still innocent, they wouldn't be able to spend time with their father who would probably be leaving soon. They had at least spent 26 origin cycles with their father. The fact that there was a possibility of both of them leaving too made both their heartache.

"Maybe it won't be a bad thing to be stuck down here," the two of them thought simultaneously before shaking their heads and smiled.

It might seem foolish to give up their progress for their family but they are willing to do it. They are Origin gods and are immortal, they have all the time in the world to do foolish things.

Gehald didn't care about whatever was going on at the tower of heaven. He had chosen to appear at his planar gates but he would not be teleported right in front of it. Instead, he was teleported onto a teleportation platform.

The teleportation platform was a flat, circular structure that is exactly 200m in diameter. There is a teleportation platform like this a distance away from every planar gate. It has existed since the very first race found its way into the ancient battlefield. It has not been destroyed ever since because anyone that dares to would be turned to ash. It doesn't belong to any race but the realm.

When a plane takes control of it, what they truly control is the right to take tolls from everyone that uses it. For a plane to take control of the teleportation platform, they must man it with enough manpower to fight off an enemy. The people that can use the teleportation platform must either be super strong enough to power it or have origin stones.

There are other teleportation systems apart from these but there is none that compares to them. They are top-grade origin artifacts that can go anywhere within the ancient battlefield as long as the destination is registered within its network, and most importantly they also lead to the void in outer space.

Gehald stepped off the platform and floated towards the only opening available apart from the skies. The platform is surrounded by walls. The walls belong to the High Life plane's defense fortress. It is the outer defense fortress to be specific and it is one of the best in the realm. It surrounds the teleportation platform, there is a single gate that leads out of it, even the sky is covered by a barrier.

The fortress is there to take control of the teleportation platform and protect against intruders. Only when visitors have been given a pass would they be allowed to exit the fortress.
